I used a license from a previous giveaway of 9.3 and it too was advertised as 1 year license but on installing version 9.9.0 and re-using saved license from the option the uninstaller/installer gave this new version shows the license I am using is in fact a lifetimes license! the license code in use is stored as plain text in cfg.ini file in the installation folder. The icon on the left that looks a little like a shield and a little like a gem up in the top right of the 9.9.0 GUI shows current active license type, Mine shows lifetime updates while using the 9.3 so called 1 year key. Tried posting a similar post on GAOTD site where this giveaway was also given away recently but the passive aggressive moderators there silently deleted it like they do for so many of their contributors and completely against their published moderation policy. I may try some further tests replacing the cfg.ini code used with the current giveaways code and see what that reports the license as… and add a further comment here if there are any significant outcomes.
The license provided with this giveaway which is the same as the one offered on giveawayoftheday.com is valid until 2nd September 2023. if you ever saved the readme.txt from the 9.3 giveawayoftheday.com offering of this you can replace the key in the cfg.ini file and re-instate the lifetime upgrades license that one came with… which I just did after trialing the license key offered here.
