Surprised that this worked well for me. I have two 1-TB HD’s that were configured as a Windows 7 spanned volume. The MB in that PC died, and when I attach these HD to another PC, they cannot do anything with the spanned volume, even though the data is fine.
I know that the bigger names of HD utilities, such as Easeus and AOMEI, can get the data back and preserve the filenames, but they are not free and I could not find any free giveaways for those at this time. Tried several other no-name utilities, all of which either failed totally or can find the files but cannot preserve the filenames.
This program was a success. I will eventually find a giveaway for AOMEI or Easeus and compare the results, to make sure that everything was recovered, but I am confident that all the files were easily copied to another HD. So this looks like a quality program, although being that it is no-name and has virtually no public reviews, I am hesitant to full recommend it just in case there is some kind of nefarious code in it. It did pass Virustotal screening and Windows Defender has not flagged it as malicious, although it did not want me to install it as it was not recognized to the smartscreen filters.
